Key Stage 4

At Key Stage 4 pupils are provided with a range of subject options and general and applied qualifications that have currency with employers, colleges of further education and universities.

​

The core curriculum at Key Stage 4 consists of English, Maths, Science, ICT, Religious Education, Personal Development, Careers and Physical Education.

​

In addition, the pupils were able to choose subjects from the following list:

  • CCEA GCSE Geography

  • OCN Vocational Certificate in Creative Crafts

  • CCEA GCSE Leisure and Tourism

  • Edexcel GCSE Design and Technology

  • CCEA GCSE History

  • OCN Level 2 Certificate in Vocational Skills: – Building and Construction

  • CCEA GCSE Home Economics

  • BTEC Level 2 Sport

  • CCEA GCSE Child Development

  • GCSE Double Award Science (this counts as two GCSEs)

  • CCEA Occupational Studies – Childcare (Play and Physical Care)

  • CCEA Performance Skills

  • CCEA Occupational Studies – Contemporary Cuisine and Patisserie and Baking

  • GCSE Music

  • CCEA GCSE Religious Education (Full)

  • CCEA UBELT (Certificate in Understanding Business Enterprise with Language and Tourism)

  • GCSE French (Full Course)

  • GCSE Single Award Science

  • OCN Applied & Extended Science
